Today there are high cirrus clouds above Everest and there are snow
plumes coming off the top. Its windy again. Yesterday we had a fabulous
day with very little wind and lots of sun and warmth. But today its
quite the contrary.
Everything is going well, except that we have a broken fuse on the battery
pack for the laptop. Thats whats been causing our problems.
Were going to try fixing it with some foil so that we can get some
photos out.
Phil really didnt feel good this morning. Hes
been having dehydration headaches at night, which we all get. You have to stay
hydrated, and you have to drink a lot of water at night. That means you have to
stay up most of the night drinking and going to the bathroom. If you dont
drink, you usually will wake up with a really dull or sharp headache in the back
of your head.
For the most part, everyone is doing fine. Mike had another bout of
diarrhea and throwing up last night. Hes probably going to go back
on antibiotics today. Thats how expeditions always are. Everybody
gets sick thats one of the challenges of climbing these mountains.
